JACK
Our poor Jack unfortunately came back to our rescue due to resource guarding his bones, and his owners thinking they aren’t the best fit for him even after training. They said they are not good with being strict and providing consistently with setting boundaries, which is what Jack needs in a home in order to succeed, so unfortunately they thought he would be best coming back to us and being rehomed to a more husky experienced home.
Jack has been with our trainer for over 2 months now, and we are very impressed. We have had zero incidents with him, and he is listening VERY well, but of course our trainer implements boundaries and provides a consistent routine for him. What our trainer has noticed is that Jack can be pretty anxious / nervous, which is where she thinks lots of his behaviors come from. We cannot blame him as we know that he used to have a loving family, and then he has been bounced around ever since.
What we know about Jack’s past, is that he used to have a loving home and be an inside dog. He lived with a family, another dog and cats. The second they had a baby, they kicked him outside to live permanently. Then, he was found as a stray, and when his owners were contacted, they chose to surrender him. He was living in an office building and employees would walk / run him while his savior was looking for rescue help.
We are looking for a strong husky experienced home for him. Jack is very smart, and he listens very well, he just needs an owner who will show authority, provide tons of exercise, and continue providing structure in the home. We have him fully trained on many commands like sit, come, down, heel, place, and he has a “leave it” command!
We will provide 2 FREE training lessons, and also his training comes with a lifetime of support. He is dog friendly, cat friendly, and he is fully potty trained. His savior who had him before coming to us said he loved to run along a bike. He would do miles at a time! She believes this was a good outlet to relieve his anxiety. So exercise really is key for him! He loves to do zoomies in the backyard and he is very playful! Jack is eager to please and we know the right home is out there for him! He just needs a home who can let him adjust and take the 3 months to provide a consistent routine and exercise!
