Star  

Our Star has been through months of board and train and she is ready for a foster or forever home! She is fully trained, dog friendly, cat friendly, and she will come with two FREE scheduled training lessons!

We are looking for a STRONG husky experienced home from her. We saved Star the day she was scheduled to be euthanized at MDAS, where she suffered from kennel anxiety and was snapping at staff when they went to put her in from being outside. We think it was built up frustration due to lack or mental stimulation and limited time outside her kennel.

Star definitely comes with some past abuse, she can be a bit head shy if you quickly go to pet her. Also, when we first saved her she would growl if a man walked by her crate. We have spent months desensitizing and working on behavioral training. Star has made great progress and she is even now comfortable meeting strangers as long as there is slow introductions and boundaries that make her feel safe.

Star is 1 year old and she definitely has young puppy energy. She knows many commands like sit, come, down, heel, and she has mastered the place command! She is crate trained, and she actually loves her crate it is her safe space! She walks very well on a leash and she is a good listener! sOnce Star creates a bond with you, she is very loving and loves to get attention. She is petite for a husky weighing only 40lbs! We are looking for an experienced home who can continue her training, and due to her past she needs an adult only home. She needs a home who will be PATIENT and loving home who will continue showing her boundaries. She needs a home who understands she has a bad past, but she is young and making huge strides daily!
