SAint
We are so happy to share that our Saint is doing amazing in his foster home! Saint really went through hell and back before coming to us and we are so happy he is finally in a routine of consistency and love. His foster mama is doing a great job keeping up with his training and providing structure in the home. She takes him on daily walks, and he loves to play fetch in her backyard. He is really a sweet and loyal boy once he adjusts. He has been doing amazing with listening to his commands! Saint loves hard and he craves attention from people! He is crate trained, potty trained, and he is fully trained on multiple commands! We do think Saint would do best as a solo dog in the home, as he cares more for human attention then dog companionship.
Saint is looking for an all adult only forever home! Saint MUST go to a home with a 6ft fence backyard as he can be fence hopper. He needs a PATIENT forever family who can continue to show boundaries in the home and continue his training. We will provide 2 FREE training lessons to whoever adopts him! Saint is a special soul who has been bounced around his entire life. He needs a home who can provide a routine and consistency!
Poor Saint has had a rough life before us. He was left tied to a pole and abandoned. He has been tossed around and he needs a patient home who can let him adjust. He is super affectionate loves to cuddle with people, but he can be on the stubborn side so we want a strong handler home for him!
Saint is on the lower energy side for a husky. He walks well on a leash, and he loves to lay outside! So a 6ft fenced in backyard is a MUST! He is great in the car and well behaved out in public! He is potty trained, crate trained, and non destructive!! He would do best in a calmer environment home with no kids under 10.
His Story:
Saint was originally found tied to pole outside of a hotel in the broward area. An amazing team of rescuers helped him and temporarily housed him while looking for rescue help so he wouldn’t end up at the shelter. After being contacted by a great supporter with a foster offer, we decided to step in and help him. He went to a temp GTS foster, as the foster couldn’t take him right away.
When we found out that although there was a police report made, he was not reported as found to local Broward ACC. Legally, we had to contact them and report him as found, as he could be someone’s lost pet. He was on a 5 day stray hold, and then the last day we were contacted by ACC and ordered to bring him back as an owner came forward and was scheduled to pick him up. We had no choice but to bring him there, but what we saw a couple days later, is that he was still there sitting in the shelter. We were informed the owner never showed and stopped answering all communication.
Then, we made a plan to get him out of the shelter and get him right up to our trainer in Orlando to decompress and once he settles work on some behavioral training. Saint was so happy to see his savior / temp foster and GTS volunteer Barbara when she picked him up from the shelter. We cannot thank Barb enough for transporting him from the shelter to Orlando! Saint has been through it.. he was tied left to a pole, and then bounced around into many homes in just one month. He has abandonment issues and he will definitely growl if you try to make him do anything he doesnt want to do like go in the crate and put a cone or muzzle on. We cannot blame him, as he has been so let down by humans. Now, he’s been with our trainer for a couple weeks and he is doing great. We found out he is a really chill low energy husky, but he is stubborn. He has vet anxiety and he can redirect at other dogs, so we will work on muzzle training and work on commands.
